To compete in any fencing tournament, every fencer needs a USA Fencing Membership separate from your club membership.

Please ensure that you select Polaris Fencing Center as your Club, New Jersey as your Division and Region 3 as your Region.

This portal houses all of your regional and national tournament registrations as well as information related to your USA Fencing membership.

When you check-in for tournaments, make sure to scan your membership card, which can be found in this Membership Portal.

For newcomers to the sports, USA Fencing put together a helpful guide to teach the basics of fencing. It also includes a glossary of terms and tips for parents on how they can best support their fencers.

We recommend reviewing this resource first and following up with the coaches if there are any additional questions.

It can be overwhelming to understand all of the necessary fencing equipment that is needed for training and competitions. We've put together a checklist to guide you in the right direction.

It is important to regularly wash and maintain your fencing equipment to increase its longevity. Depending on how frequently you train and compete, this will impact how quickly the equipment wears.

For national competitions, there are distinct age and classification eligibility requirements. Please refer to this link to familiarize yourself with them.

For international competitions, please note you will need an FIE license in addition to your USA Fencing membership to compete. The application form can be found here.
